Learned counsel representing the alleged contemnors (Assessor-Collector, South Subarban Unit), Kolkata Municipal Corporation has produced a copy of the order dated February 20, 2025 which has allegedly been passed in compliance of the direction passed by this Court.

The petitioners are aggrieved by the same.

I am afraid that the legality and validity of the said order cannot be adjudicated by this Bench sitting in contempt jurisdiction. It will be open for the petitioners to approach the competent forum challenging the order passed by the authority in accordance with law, if so advised.

The contempt application is disposed of.
