Two statements were recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code one by the minor and other by her mother, corroborated each other and implicate the petitioner in attempting to rape the minor.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 85 of 2024 is disposed of.
