The application being CAN 1 of 2023, has been filed, inter alia, for recording compliance of the order dated 12th December, 2022 passed by this Court in WPA No. 23337 of 2022 and the order dated 14th January, 2023 passed by Hon'ble Supreme Court.

In connection with the aforesaid application a supplementary affidavit has been filed today incorporating the original minutes of settlement entered between the petitioners and the Officers of the Food Corporation of India on 22nd August, 2023. Let the same be taken on record.

Mr. Mitra, learned senior advocate by placing reliance on the aforesaid settlement submits that since, the order dated 12th December, 2022, has been complied with, the personal appearance of the contemnors be dispensed with and the rule may be discharged.

Having regard submission made by Mr. Mitra, learned senior advocate and Mr. Mondal, learned advocate representing the petitioners and taking into consideration minutes of settlement dated 22nd August, 2023 , I am of the view that the order dated 12th December, 2022 having been complied with and the petitioners having accepted the settlement , nothing further survives in the contempt application. 5.

The rule is accordingly discharged and the connected application is also disposed of.
