We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner no.1 is the step daughter-in-law and petitioner no.2 is the step daughter respectively of the de-facto complainant/victim. Allegations against them are general and omnibus. Injury does not appear to be grievous and/or life threatening. Under such circumstances, we are of the opinion custodial interrogation of the petitioners is not necessary and they may be granted anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, we direct in the event of arrest, the petitioners, namely, (1) Juthika Biswas Sikdar @ Juthi Sikdar @ Juthika Biswas & (2) Ranjita Roy Sikdar @ Sikdar Roy, be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) each, with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and on further Signed By : ARUP KUMAR DAS High Court of Calcutta 14 th of January 2025 04:42:13 PM
