The revisional application was preferred in connection with Park Street Police Station 197 dated 02-11-2020. Learned advocates for the petitioners and private opposite party no.2 earlier submitted before this court that there has been an amicable settlement pursuant to which a report was called for. Today, a report has been submitted by the learned advocate for the State enclosing the statement and declaration which reflects that the opposite party no.2 namely Swati Gambhir do not intend to pursue the criminal case which was initiated at her instance. As the case arose out of matrimonial dispute and discord, further continuance of the proceedings would under the changed circumstances result

in harassment of the parties. Accordingly, all further proceedings arising out of Park Street Police station Case No. 197 dated 02-112020 under Sections 498A/323/324/406/34 IPC and Ss. 3 and 4 of the D. P. Act including the chargesheet submitted pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 9th court, Calcutta be hereby quashed. Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR 94 of 2024 and the connected application being CRAN 1 of 2024 is allowed.

The report submitted by the learned advocate for the State be kept with the record.
