Begg ... for the State This is an application seeking an expeditious disposal of a proceeding in which a charge sheet was submitted under sections 493, 494, 496, 420, 406, 170, 506, 109, 191, 120B, 480 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the de facto complainant in this case. She lodged an F.I.R. on 23.03.2017. A charge sheet was submitted in October 2017. Thereafter date was fixed for framing of charge on 24.01.2020. Yet, till date not even charges could be framed. The accused have prayed for time on several occasions. The impugned proceeding has remained pending for no fault on the part of the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that State would not come in the way if a direction is passed for an expeditious disposal of the proceeding.

No prejudice will be caused to anyone if a direction is passed to expedite the proceeding.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels for the appearing for the petitioner and the State and have perused the revision petition.

It appears that some delay has been occasioned in disposing the application.

It is quite irregular that for a charge sheet that is submitted on October, 2017 till date the charges could not be framed. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the learned Trial Court is requested to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties and in particular, to decide the question of framing of charge at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months from the next date of hearing. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
