The present writ application has been preferred stating that the complaint made by the petitioners on 05.09.2024 and 26.09.2024 has not been acted upon by the respondent no. 2 who is not appearing in spite of notice. A further relief has been prayed to the extent that the respondents and each one of them their men, agents, assigns and subordinates to take steps according to the provisions under Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 to make an inspection at the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata regarding the complaint made by the petitioners and call for documents for inspection from the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata.

Considering the materials on record and the nature of relief prayed for the writ application is

disposed of with the direction that the respondent no. 2 shall take immediate steps to dispose of the petition of complaint filed by the petitioners on 05.09.2024 and 26.09.2024 and on hearing all the stakeholders, dispose of the same within 60 days from the date of this order in accordance with law.

Applications, if any, connected thereto stand disposed of consequently.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the Trial Court at once.

Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, being given to the parties on priority basis upon compliance of all formalities.
