After hearing learned counsel appearing for the parties, the writ petition may be disposed of with a direction on the District Magistrate, Murshidabad to dispose of the representation dated 15th December, 2021 made by the advocate of the petitioner for issuance of Firearms licence in the petitioner's favour. The ground taken is that the petitioner's requirement the Firearms for the safety and security of his family.

W.P.A.527 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the respondent no.3 being The District Magistrate & Collector, Murshidabad to dispose of the representation dated 15th December, 2021 within four weeks from today. The respondent no.3 shall be at liberty of hearing the petitioner before taking the reasoned decision and the copy of the reasoned decision shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from the date of such decision is taken.
