Subhabrata Datta, the learned counsel for the State that the Hanskhali Police Station has, indeed, taken steps to try and trace out the missing girl, with the support and assistance of the CID, West Bengal.

This Court is of the view that since the CID, West Bengal is already involved in this matter, and given the fact that the Hanskhali Police Station has done whatever was necessary to be done, the investigation, as a whole, must be transferred to CID, West Bengal. It is only requested that the CID, West Bengal, continues its efforts to try and trace out the missing girl. With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
