Petitioner complains that although Nandigram Police Station Case No.977 of 2024 was registered for investigation, the petitioner has been facing threats. To that effect, information was furnished but no steps were taken for protection. If the criminal case is still pending, in that case, petitioner would approach the jurisdictional Magistrate, jurisdictional Magistrate under the relevant provisions of Witness Protection Scheme, 2018 would call for a threat perception report and thereafter pass necessary directions if he is satisfied regarding the threat perception of the petitioner. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 687 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavits have been called for from the respondents, the accusations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
