1. Status report filed by the State today, be kept with the records.

2. The petitioner says that he has been falsely implicated. He has no connection with the alleged crime. Allegedly, one Abhijit Sardar and Puja Saha Sardar, a couple, were implicated. Subsequently, by some strange process, Abhijit has become a witness and this petitioner has been implicated. There is no material against this petitioner. He is in custody for about 1 year and 3 months. All the witnesses whose statements have been recorded under Section 161 Cr.P.C. (Section 180 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023) mentioned Abhijit Sardar. He prays for bail.

3. Opposing the prayer, learned State counsel tells us that the petitioner along with Puja Saha Sardar used to run the

concerned brothel. The petitioner masqueraded as the husband of Puja. The victim girl, while deposing before the learned Trial Court, identified the petitioner in the dock.

4. In view of the aforesaid, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail.

5. CRM (DB) 183 of 2025 is dismissed.

6. From the status report we find that 15 out of 20 chargesheet named witnesses are proposed to be examined by the prosecution. One witness has already been examined. Since the petitioner is in custody for quite some time, we direct the learned Trial court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent possible and conclude the same on an early date.

7. Let this order be communicated by the parties to the learned Trial Court.
