The petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which the accused has taken as a right and is evading the court for conclusion of the case. Learned advocate for the petitioner has drawn the attention of the Court to the order dated 27.06.2016 passed in CRR 1982 of 2016. It has been brought to the notice of the Court that the accused persons did not appear at the stage of defence witness and unnecessarily wasted time by evading the process of law and thereafter they have appeared pursuant to the warrant of arrest being issued.

Having regard to the fact that the case is under the provisions of Sections 138/141 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and was initiated in the year 2015, I direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, 9th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas to fix at least one date in a week so that the trial of the case is concluded at the earliest. The examination of the defence witnesses be concluded by 30th April, 2024. Thereafter, the final arguments be concluded by

22nd May, 2024. The verdict be pronounced by the learned court below by 30th June, 2024.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 100 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
