Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that his accounts have been frozen by the ICICI Bank. He received an information from the Bank that the accounts have been frozen pursuant to information received from different police stations.

State has submitted a report which reflects that because of unauthorized transactions, the accounts have been frozen pursuant to complaints received from Bahadurganj Police Station, Nabinagar Police Station, Dehat Police Station and Rampur Police Station.

Accordingly, the respondent nos.3 and 4 being the Commissioner of Police, Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate and the Officer-in-Charge,

Durgapur Police Station have nothing to do with regard to the nature of the cases which have been the basis for freezing the accounts.

In view of the plight expressed by the petitioner, the respondent nos.5 and 6 would give the number of the cases for which the accounts have been frozen to the petitioner. Petitioner would be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional court having seisin over the concerned cases for appropriate reliefs. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 765 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
