Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that an altercation took place between co-villagers. The injuries suffered were not grievous in nature.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He refers to the statements of the victim and other local eye-witnesses and also the injury reports. The victim had to undergo two surgeries. He suffered a lacerated injury on his forearm with multiple tendon cuts. Injuries are recorded as grievous in the injury report. Charge-sheet has already been submitted. 3.

Considering the above and other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
