Counsel for the State, Mr. Banerjee, submits that the Investigating Officer in FIR No. 54 dated 1st March, 2020 of Tollygunge Police Station has been changed.

Mr. Datta, learned Senior Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent nos.6 & 7 submits that the dispute is primarily private and civil in nature, which in any event, has been resolved by payment of certain sums of money to the writ petitioner.

Mr. Suddhasatva Banerjee, learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner vehemently denies the same.

It is expected that the investigation be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period

of 45 days from date. Let final report be filed before the jurisdictional Magistrate with prior service of a copy thereof between all the parties.

It is submitted that the private respondent no.8 has died. The writ petition shall be infructuous in so far as the respondent no.8 is concerned.

Needless to mention that all parties shall cooperate with the investigation and may meet the Investigating Officer of the case with whatever inputs they may have.

The instant writ petition shall stand disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
