The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of the subject English at Jhilimili High School, District - Bankura, she applied for general transfer under the 'Utsashree Portal' on the grounds of her illness and that the distance between her residence and the school since is more than 180 kilometres, she is unable to look after her minor child.

The School Authority has refused to issue required 'NoObjection' to the said prayer on the ground that the petitioner is not coming within 10% of the teaching staff of the school, consequently, the West Bengal Central School Service Commission has rejected the application of the petitioner. Mr. Ghosh Chowdhury, learned advocate for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable. Be that as it may, the 'Utsashree Portal' is now under suspension, as such the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage.

W.P.A. 651 of 2024 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
