Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statements recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. He submits that the petitioner is one of the persons who was involved in mercilessly beating the victim who ultimately succumbed to the injury. Considering the gravity of the offence, involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.

CRM (A) 182 of 2022 is dismissed.
