The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of an electricity connection. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that they have applied for an electricity connection. However, the representatives of WBSEDCL were unable to provide such connection because of resistance from the private third parties.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 788 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the concerned police authorities to provide all assistance to the representatives of WBSEDCL, if so required in accordance with law. It is made clear that any expense for police assistance should be borne by the petitioner. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
