And In Re : Tarikul Islam @ Tariqul Islam .... petitioner Mr. Sourav Chatterjee ....for the petitioner Mr. Swapan Banerjee, Ms. Purnima Ghosh ..... for the State Apprehending arrest in connection with Harishchandrapur Police Station Case No.711 of 2021 dated 17.09.2021 under Sections 302/201/120B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, the present application has been preferred. Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considered the materials in the case diary.

The matter relates to death of a minor child, who was only 12 years of age. The petitioner is her uncle. Considering the seriousness of the offence and the possible extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to exercise any discretion in his favour more so when, investigation is still continuing.

In view thereof, the petitioner's prayer for anticipatory bail is refused.

The application for anticipatory bail being C.R.M.(A) 189 of 2022 is dismissed.
