Pursuant to the order dated 11th February, 2020, the Member Secretary, Mediation & Conciliation Committee, High Court, Calcutta was directed to file a report with regard to the outcome of mediation in this matter in terms of the order dated 15th July, 2015 by a division bench presided over by Justice Rajiv Sharma, as His Lordship then was. Accordingly, the Officerin-Charge of Mediation & Conciliation Committee, High Court, Calcutta submitted a report on 18th February, 2020, wherefrom it appears that the parties did not take any step in terms of earlier order and the respective lawyers also did not participate in mediation.

On 23rd November, 2021 the parties were also not represented. It seems that the appellant is not interested to proceed with the appeal. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed for default.

Interim order, if any, passed earlier stands vacated.
