Petitioner contends there is no direct evidence connecting him to the rape and murder. Accordingly, he renews his bail prayer.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer.

We have considered the materials on record.

Victim had reported the petitioner and others earlier. They nursed grudge against the victim. Thereafter, she had been raped and murdered. Her personal belongings have been recovered from the petitioner. Bail prayer was rejected earlier on merits. Date has been fixed for consideration of charge.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.
