Apprehending arrest in connection with Khargram P. S. Case No. 361 of 2014 dated 07.08.2014 under Sections 376/417/120B of IPC, the petitioner has filed the present application.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was working outside India and as soon as he came to know regarding the case, he has approached this Court. Additionally, the learned advocate submits that since the charge-sheet has already been submitted, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not warranted. The learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer and draws the attention of the Court to the relevant pages of the case diary wherefrom it reflects that proclamation, attachment has been issued against the present petitioner. As the petitioner has been declared a proclaimed offender, we are of the opinion that the present application for

anticipatory bail is not maintainable. As such, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM 319 of 2021, is, thus, disposed of.
