The petitioners complain that the private respondents are violating the order of status quo passed by the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), Jangipur, Murshidabad in PS Case No.47 of 2007. The suit is since pending.

The petitioners may apply for appropriate orders in the said civil suit for a direction upon the Raghunathgunj Police Station to ensure that the order of status quo is not violated.

Counsel for the private respondent submits that his client has not violated the order of injunction. The Raghunathgunj Police shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area and shall strictly enforce any order that may be passed by the Civil Court on them.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Report dated 4th April, 2023 issued by the Inspector-in-Charge, Raghunathgunj Police Station addressed to the learned Government Pleader and the same is taken on record.
