It is submitted by the Advocate appearing on behalf of the Cooperative Election Commission that they are in a position to conduct the elections of the concerned cooperative society being the respondent no. 3 within a period of two months from date.

The Cooperative Election Commissioner and the State are directed to conclude the election process of the concerned cooperative society being the respondent no. 3 by April 19, 2021.

It is made clear that during the interregnum period no appointment will take place on the basis of the letter dated November 19, 2020, being Annexure P-3 (appearing at page 19 of this writ petition) in this writ petition. The Advocate appearing on behalf of the State submits that no appointment has taken place in terms of the letter dated November 19, 2020 being Annexure P-3 (appearing at page 19 of the writ petition).

The highest designated officer of the concerned Board is directed to give all assistance to the Cooperative Election Commission in conducting the elections. The Officer-in-Charge of the concerned police station is also directed to render all assistance to the Cooperative Election Commission for conducting the elections of the respondent no. 3.

With the aforesaid observations and directions this writ petition being WPA No. 884 of 2021 stands disposed of.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. (Ravi Krishan Kapur,J)
