The petitioners are aggrieved by the communication dated 6th January, 2021 made by the Chairperson of the Board of Administrators, North Dum Dum Municipality whereby the booking made by the petitioners on 11th January, 2021 has been cancelled. The reason for cancellation mentioned is the Training Programme of Vaccination Covid-19. The respondent authorities intended to refund the booking amount. The learned advocate appearing for the Municipality submits, upon instructions, that the Training Programme of Vaccination Covid-19 and other programmes of the State Government have been fixed till 25th January, 2021 and the petitioners may apply for any date after 26th January, 2021 to 31st January, 2021 for using the said Hall.

A consensus has been arrived at by the parties regarding fixing up of 27th January, 2021 as the date for holding the meeting by the petitioners.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Chairperson, North Dum Dum Municipality to keep 27th January, 2021 as the date booked in favour of the petitioners for conducting the meeting in question after maintenance of all necessary formalities.

The Municipality shall formally intimate the date to the petitioners.

W.P.A. 885 of 2021 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
