The petitioners claim to be successful in the TET Examination and they participated in the recruitment process initiated by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education in the year 2016.

The grievance of the petitioners is that they were called for interview on October 27, 2016 but thereafter they have not been intimated the fate of the selection process.

Learned advocate representing the West Bengal Board of Primary Education submits that the names of the successful candidates were published in the official website of the Board, in the notice board of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education as well as in the notice board of all the District Primary School Councils.

The entire process recruitment process was over and appointment letters were issued in favour of successful candidates within February 2017.

It appears from the submissions made on behalf of the parties that the petitioners did not care to take information of their results when the same was published immediately after the interview was held. The petitioners have approached this Court in the year 2022 praying for giving appointments to them in the selection process of 2020. Admittedly, the petitioners did not participate in the selection process of 2020, accordingly, their prayer for giving appointments pursuant to the selection process held in the year 2020 is absolutely absurd.

The cause of action, if any, arose in the year 201617. There is inordinate unexplained delay in filing the writ petition. There is no merit in the writ petition. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
