The petitioners renew their prayer for bail which was rejected on merits on August 1, 2024 in CRM (DB) 2349 of 2024. 2.

There being no change of circumstance, we see no reason to reconsider their prayer for bail on merits. 3.

The petitioners, however, say that they are in custody for one year two months. Charge sheet was filed on February 3, 2024. More than one year has elapsed but charge has not been framed. The case has not even been committed. On the ground of delay the petitioners pray for bail.

Opposing the bail prayer, learned State Advocate tells us that the delay, if any, has been due to absconsion of six accused persons. Steps are being taken to exhaust the process for apprehending them. If necessary, steps will be taken for splitting up the trial and proceeding against the accused persons who are facing the trial.

In view of the prima facie incriminating material against the petitioner, including the seizure list and CDRs showing telephonic exchange between the petitioners and the accused persons and also considering that the petitioners have criminal antecedents, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage.

CRM (DB) 203 of 2025 is, thus, dismissed.
