Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that her sister was missing and in spite of informing the police authorities no steps were taken by Haripal Police Station.

Mr. Samanta, learned Junior Government Advocate furnishes a report before this court prepared by the Officer-in-Charge, Haripal Police Station who has contended that the police authorities on receipt of information on 19.01.2025 went to the address and found in the hospital register about Nurensha Begum of Village : Kanakpur, Kaikala, PS Haripal, Dist. Hooghly. It was also found that the alleged victim Nurensha Begum was at the house with her husband. Having considered the fact that the same has been recorded by way of Haripal PS GDE No. 1252 dated 19.01.2025, I am of the view that the

contention that the missing person so alleged with efforts of the police authorities have been identified, no further pendency of the writ petition is warranted. Accordingly WPA 940 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report submitted by the state be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
