The petitioner claiming to be a previous member of the Managing Committee of Lodna Mankhamar Vivekananda Vidyamandir High School, Bankura (hereinafter referred to as the 'said school') under guardian category has come up with the present writ petition with certain allegations of misappropriation of funds by the Headmaster of the said school. Petitioner prays for issuance of mandamus directing the concerned respondent authorities to initiate proceedings against the Headmaster based on the complaints lodged by him. During course of hearing, query has been posed to the learned advocate representing the petitioner whether ward of the petitioner is presently studying in the said school or not. In reply, it has been submitted that the ward of the petitioner has passed out from the school and the ward is no more a student of the said school.

Since petitioner's ward is no more a student of the school and petitioner being an erstwhile member of previous Managing Committee of the said school which is now defunct, this Court finds that the petitioner does not have locus standi to move this writ petition, inter alia, questioning the conduct of the Headmaster since petitioner is no way related to the aforesaid school. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
