The grievance of the petitioner is that the police refused to register the complaint filed by the petitioner on 6th December, 2023 and failed to cause necessary investigation into the said complaint. Learned advocate representing the State respondents relies upon the instruction forwarded by the Inspector-in-Charge, Digha Police Station signed on 30th January, 2024 mentioning that on the complaint filed by the petitioner, a preliminary enquiry was conducted and Digha P.S. Case No.4/24 dated

25th January, 2024 under Sections 420/467/468/471 IPC has been registered. The investigation of the case is under process. The statements of the available witnesses are being recorded.

As it appears that the police has already registered FIR, accordingly, the investigating officer is directed to continue the investigation in accordance with law and conclude the same at the earliest, if not, concluded in the meantime.

The report filed by the State respondents in Court today is taken on record.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
