1. Since the petitioner has not taken any steps to comply with the order dated 10th November, 2025, I am of the view that the petitioner is ordinarily not entitled to any relief in the present writ petition, however, at the same time taking note of the fact that an allegation of unauthorized construction has been made, I am of the view that the municipal authority should take appropriate steps in the matter.
2. Having regard thereto, let this matter be disposed of by directing the municipal authority to take appropriate steps in relation to the alleged unauthorized construction.
3. It is made clear that if any unauthorized construction is noted by the municipality at holding No. 80, Shib Gopal Banerjee Lane, Salkia, Police Station -M.P. Ghora, under Ward No. 03, Borough-I, Howrah-
WPA 749 of 2024 711106, the Howrah Municipal Corporation shall take appropriate steps to arrest such illegal construction and an appropriate proceeding must be initiated for violation of the statutory provisions. It is also expected that such proceeding must be taken to a logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 10 weeks from the date of communication of this order.
4. Needless to note that the municipal authority must notify the private respondent before taking any action.
5. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
