The said report reflects that the jewelleries which were the concern of the present petitioner have been mortgaged with Muthoot Finance, Camac Street Branch. A notice under Section 94 of BNSS has been issued to the Branch Manager, Muthoot Finance Limited, Camac Street Branch.

Having considered that subject-matter jewellery which is in custody of the said Finance Company is also the subject-matter of Narkeldanga Police Station Case No. 181 dated 14.08.2024, I direct that said gold ornaments which have been mortgaged with Muthoot Finance, Camac Street Branch for which investigating officer has sent notice under Section 94 of BNSS, be not dealt with by Muthoot Finance Limited any further in any manner without the permission of the investigating officer of the case.

The investigation of the case is in progress. The investigating officer will put in efforts to take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 989 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
