Guha ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Arindam Sen Mr. Santanu Talukdar ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for seven months and there has been hardly any progress in the trial of the case. However, so far as the merits of the case is concerned, it has been pointed out by the learned advocate that there are no clinching evidence against the present petitioner, inspite of that, the investigating agency has frivolously implicated the present petitioner in the case. Learned advocate for the State has produced the case diary and the statement of the witnesses both under Section 180 BNSS as also Section 183 of the BNSS.

The subject-matter of the case involves serious incidents of explosion.

Having regard to the stage of the case and the fact that the petitioner has already prayed for discharge, I am of the opinion that any comment on the merits of the case may prejudice the present petitioner, but, having regard to the gravity of the offence and the issue relating to the stage of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 151 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
