Petitioner approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities as he claimed that substantial part of the property was being encroached at the behest of the private respondent and in addition to that, there was poisoning of the fishery which was existing within the said property. Further, there are allegations that petitioner is obstructed and disturbed from enjoying his property. To that effect, even if information is furnished with the police station, no steps are taken.

Mr. Ganguli, learned AGP appearing for the State submits that on 23.04.2025, this Court directed for furnishing the latest information relating to Jibantala Police Station Case No. 504 of 2024. A fresh report has been submitted which reflects that after conclusion of investigation,

charge-sheet has been submitted before the jurisdictional court, keeping in mind the provision to file supplementary charge-sheet, if further evidence transpires. Petitioner would be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional court in case he is dissatisfied with different aspects of the investigation.

Petitioner finally complains that he is insecured because of the overt acts at the behest of the private respondent. In case the petitioner faces inconveniences, he will report to the police authorities. Police authorities would enquire in respect of the veracity of the accusations and thereafter take steps in accordance with law. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 1001 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
