The matter has taken up at the instance of both the learned counsels representing the parties of this revisional application on the ground that the matter has been settled amicably between the parties and the petitioner is no longer willing to proceed with this case. Pursuance to the direction passed by the co-ordinate Bench on February 20, 2026, report has been submitted on behalf of the prosecution, which is taken on record.

On perusal of the same, it transpires that both the parties have filed a case for mutual divorce before the learned Court Burdwan and hence filed a compromise petition before the Court and a written declaration to that extent was filed before the

Officer-in-Charge, Dhakshineswar Police Station. Before this Court also the parties are present both physical as well virtual platform.

The present revisional application, was filed by the petitioner/husband/parent-in-law and sister-in-law for quashing of the proceeding, pending before the Learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barrackpore, 24 Parganas(North) on the strength of the complaint lodged by the de facto complainant/opposite party no.2 under Section 85 and 316(2) of the BNS 2023.

As the parties have entered into such compromise, this Court of the view that probability of passing order for conviction is bleak, accordingly, no question of keeping the matter pending further.

Hence, the instant revisional application stands dismissed being withdrawn.

Accordingly, the proceeding pending before the learned Magistrate be quashed, so far as the petitioners are concerned. 7.
