The petitioners' grievance is that the land owned and occupied by the petitioners was utilised by the Irrigation and Waterways Department upon constructing a pump house therein. The land was neither acquired, nor compensation paid for the same to the petitioners. The first petitioner submitted representations before the concerned authority in this regard on 15th September, 2020 and 16th September, 2020 which are yet to be disposed of. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the authority to consider the representations at the earliest. Upon consideration of the submissions made on behalf of the petitioners and material on record, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent to consider and dispose of the representations submitted by the petitioners dated 15th September, 2020 and 16th September, 2020, respectively within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all

the interested parties including the petitioners, in accordance with law.

The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioners within a week thereof. With such directions, WPA 758 of 2022 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
