The petitioner is a confirmed Assistant Teacher of Chandipur Primary School under Uluberia North Circle of Howrah District Primary School Council. The petitioner is praying for transfer to any school under Purba Bardhaman District Primary School Council.

The marriage of the petitioner has been dissolved by a decree of divorce; she has a minor son with her. The petitioner is praying transfer to any school in the district of Purba Bardhaman as her paternal home is in the said district and she is facing inconvenience to be in a school near to her erstwhile matrimonial home.

A representation of the petitioner praying such transfer is pending before the President, West Bengal Board of Primary Education.

The said representation dated October 22, 2024 forms part of the writ petition being Annexure-P/5. The Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, the respondent no.4 herein shall obtain necessary reports regarding the said prayer of the petitioner from the Howrah District Primary School Council and Purba Bardhaman District Primary School Council and on the basis of the said reports, shall consider and dispose of the said representation of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.

WPA 908 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
