The petitioners are Anganwari workers. They claim parity in the pay pattern with other employees under the Integrated Child Development Project. It is submitted that the scale of clerk and peons under the ICDS Project had been revised whereas, the remuneration of the petitioners were not increased.

The petitioners are at liberty to approach the Deputy Director, ICDS West Bengal with their allegations and grievances. If such approach is made, the same shall be disposed of in accordance with law, upon hearing the petitioners. The petitioners shall be entitled to be represented by a learned advocate. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners.

This Court has not gone into the merits of the claims and counter-claims of the petitioners.

The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from date of receipt of the representation of the petitioners.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
