Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is renewing the prayer for bail after the examination of the seizure witnesses.

I have considered the evidence of Ajay Sankar Chowdhury and Anandamay Saha who have already been examined in connection with the instant case and, prima facie, I am of the view on an assessment of the said evidence that, at this stage, it would not be a fit case for releasing the petitioner on bail. Learned trial court would take into account the period of detention of the petitioner and pronounce its verdict by 31st December, 2026. Accordingly, CRM(NDPS)113 of 2026 is rejected at this stage.
