This Court has seen the report of the Inspector-inCharge, Bongaon Police Station dated February 7, 2022 in the form of an instruction to the Government Pleader. It appears from the said report that an FIR being Bongaon PS Case No.98 dated January 24, 2022 under Sections 447/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the private respondent nos.5 to 12. Investigation is on. Notices have also been sent to B.L.&L.R.O. and the A.D.S.R. asking for particulars of the land in question.

It is made clear that Bongaon PS shall confine itself only to the extent of the matter involving commission of any offence under the IPC and Cr.P.C. The private land dispute between the writ petitioner and the private respondents is of no concern of the Bongaon P.S.

The petitioner may take appropriate steps under the appropriate clause including the civil court for remedy against the private respondents.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
