No one appears on behalf of the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the alleged contemnors have made over to Court an electric mail dated 16th September, 2021. It appears from the said communication that Mr. Amitabha Roy, the learned Advocate who assisted Mr. Subir Sanyal in the writ petition on being approached has stated to have retired from the brief. Mr. Sanyal has also been informed that the matter will appear before this Bench.

In such circumstances, it appears that the petitioner is not interested in proceeding with the matter, any further. The alleged contemnor by referring to the documents filed on their behalf on 2nd

September, 2021 says that the order dated 11th July, 2006 passed in C.O. 9590 (W) of 1996 has been complied with. I find substance in such submission. The contempt proceedings are dropped, regarding compliance of the order dated 11th July, 2006 being the order in contempt. The contempt petitions are disposed of without any further order.

The Rules stand discharged.
