Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that none appeared for the petitioner yesterday. She personally called upon learned advocate for the petitioner and informed him about the pendency of the matter.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the present case relates to Haringhata Police Station Case No. 04 of 2022 is under Sections 341 /323 /325 / 354(B)/307/509/506 of the Indian Penal Code. The Section in the body of the petition is wrongly written as Section 498A of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the materials in the case diary, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.

CRM(A) 254 of 2022 is dismissed.

Department will incorporate the necessary corrections in the cause title of the application in view of the provisions of the Indian Penal Code noted above.
