Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the case being M/826/2021 was filed before the jurisdictional court at Barasat. Presently, the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat is in seisin of the matter. The case being under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the application for interim maintenance is still pending, I am of the view that the learned Magistrate would take steps so that the said application is disposed of at the earliest. Records reflect that the next date is fixed on 17.05.2024. The learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat will put in all efforts to dispose of the application for interim maintenance in connection with M/826/2021 on the said date so fixed or within 31.05.2024. The learned trial court will thereafter fix at least one date in every two months so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. So far as the interim maintenance is concerned, the learned trial court will not stretch the time line fixed by this Court.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 173 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
