1. Learned counsel for the appellant based on statements made in the affidavit, filed today, submits that as per information of the appellant, the appellant's wife is not alive any more. The submission is made with reference to one Baranagar Police Station UD Case No. 46/24 dated 1st May, 2024 wherein as per information of the appellant the dead body of his deceased wife was found in a decomposed condition.

2. In view of the submissions of the learned counsel for the appellant recorded above, it is submitted that the appellant does not wish to proceed with the appeal.

3. Without recording any finding on the merits of the submissions noted above, we dismiss the appeal as not pressed.
