The petitioners allege that the respondent nos.9 to 11 had operated the bus from Paikpara to Bagnan, in contravention to the route permit granted by the competent authority. Consequently, a complaint was lodged before the police authorities. The police authorities have requested the Regional Transport Officer, Howrah and the Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Uluberia to enquire into the allegation of violation of the route permit by the respondent nos.9 to 11.

A report has been filed before this Court, prepared by the Secretary, State Transport Authority, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no.4 herein. The same is taken on record. The Regional Transport Officer and Assistant

Regional Transport Officer have been specifically intimated to take steps on the basis of the complaint.

It is submitted on behalf of the respondent nos.9 to 11, that the route permit is not being violated and the vehicles are being plied upto Uluberia, as per the permit.

As the State Transport Authority has also taken up the issue and the concerned Regional Transport Officer/Assistant Regional Transport Officer have been asked to enquire and take steps, in this regard, nothing remains to be decided in this writ petition.

The police authorities shall act and proceed in accordance with law, upon receiving further information from the transport authorities.

With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of.
