Mr. Nitai Chandra Saha, Mr. Abhijit Chandra Majumder ...for the Petitioner.

Mr. Amal Sen, Mr. Sanatan Panja ...for the State-respondents.

Mr. Sen, learned Senior Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the police authorities, assures the Court that if the petitioner and/or her authorised representative approaches the Officer-in-Charge, Anandapur Police Station on any working day, steps shall be taken by the police authorities on the basis of the complaint filed by the petitioner. The police report is taken on record.

In view of the aforesaid submission, nothing further remains to be decided in the writ petition. The petitioner and/or her representative will meet the officerin-charge Anandapur Police Station. It is made clear that even if part of the property falls under another police station, the police authorities shall

also forward the complaint to the police station having jurisdiction for individual investigation with regard to the allegation of the petitioner.

This order shall not be construed as a decision on the merits of the claims of the petitioner. The investigating agency is to decide the issue independently.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
