The petitioner is aggrieved by the act and actions of the police authorities and to that effect, information was furnished to the police station being Dasnagar Police Station, Howrah.

State has submitted a report which reflects that police authorities have registered a case being Dasnagar Police Station Case No. 12/2024 dated 16.01.2024. The last of the complaint was dated 08.01.2024. Accordingly, the complaint which was filed has been addressed by the police authorities. However, the petitioner now complains that she is unable to enter her matrimonial home after the death of her husband. So far as such remedy is concerned, the petitioner would invoke the provisions of the PWDV Act before the learned Magistrate concerned. The learned Magistrate would appreciate the circumstances and pass necessary orders. If the learned Magistrate is

satisfied regarding the residential right of the petitioner and necessary directions are passed, police authorities would render appropriate assistance to the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 928 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
