The petitioner complains that the private respondent obtained permission to organise the Durga Puja while the petitioner is the actual entity to do so.

The State is represented.

Apparently, a Durga Puja was being conducted under the name and style of Bhajna Manik Duani Sarbojonin Durgapuja.

Apparently, there are disputes with regard to the persons who constitute to the Durga Puja committee under such name and style. One faction obtained permission to perform the Durga Puja. The other faction is before this Court.

A Writ Court need not enter into the disputes between the private parties. There is an application made to the Block Development Officer by the petitioner. Without the

disputes, which are civil in nature, between the rival factions of the Durga Puja committee being settled by an appropriate forum, the Block Development Officer (BDO) also will have no jurisdiction on the subject. Therefore, no useful purpose will be sub-served to require the BDO to decide the representation.

In such circumstances, no interference by a writ court is called for. The private parties are at liberty to avail of their remedies before the appropriate forum. WPA 1170 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly.
