His appointment may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

Mr. Mitra, learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that Chakulia Police Station Case No. 562 of 2014 was initiated in the same year and the charge-sheet was also submitted in the year 2014. Although charge was framed in the instant case long ago on 27th January, 2021, but till date none of the witnesses have appeared before the Court in spite of repeated dates being fixed by the learned trial Court.

As the case is of the year 2014 the anxiety expressed by the learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners is justified. Learned trial Court is directed to fix the date at least one date in every 60 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable time. No adjournment should be granted to either of the parties.

Learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would produce the materials, exhibits and documents on the date fixed for the examination of witnesses. All stakeholders would cooperate with the trial Court for concluding the trial at the earliest.

With the above observations, CRR 140 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
