The writ petitioner complains that Uluberia Police Station has not taken steps to protect his property against the private respondents. The private respondents are allegedly effecting construction over the petitioner's land.

According to Mr. Manna, learned counsel for the petitioner, the private respondents are not the co-sharers and even otherwise do not have any right, title or interest in the property.

Admittedly, the property-in-question has not been demarcated.

This Court is of the view that the dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents is purely civil in nature. Appropriate civil proceeding may be taken out by the parties to ascertain their respective rights in the said property.

Uluberia Police shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area and shall strictly comply with any order that may be passed by a competent Court. The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
